Home Grown New Mexico Seed Exchange-one day only-FREE
WE ARE BACK! This year we have rented the Railyard Conservancy room behind SITE Santa Fe for one day only, across the street from the Farmers Market. It will be inside the room and also outside the room. !0 people at a time will be allowed to enter the room but you can look at the outside tables with seeds also while you wait to get in. The garage doors will be open for air circulation. Masks required. If you are looking for free seeds for your vegetable or flower garden or have seeds to share, start this new gardening season with us at the Santa Fe Seed Exchange. Please bring any seeds you may have to share. It is not necessary but helps keep our seed supply going. Please identify any seeds you are sharing.

not only did I receive this in an email for an event occurring a week ago stating it was today, I’m not sure who will be attending this event. certainly not people who have a regular job since the event is during regular business hours. I want to participate in these types of events, but they’re not announced in time and they’re not held at a realistic time.

REPLY: We only send out updated posts when you sign up on our website, http://homegrownnewmexico.org on the upper left hand column, titled ‘Follow this blog’ (WHICH WE RECOMMEND TO GET THE LATEST UPDATES so you don’t miss out) so I’m not sure who sent this to you since we put it out numerous times on our site and ALL before the event.
As far as this event, the Seed Exchange, is normally put on anyway in the middle of the week because that is when these type of places are available-they are closed on weekends.
ALL OTHER EVENTS, WHICH YOU CAN FIND ON OUR CLASSES/EVENTS PAGE AT THE TOP OF OUR SITE ARE ON SUNDAYS SO MOST WORKING PEOPLE CAN COME TO THEM IF THEY SIGN UP IN TIME as spacing is limited.
If you are still looking for FREE seeds, you can go to the Santa Fe Southside Library branch on 6559 Jaguar Drive here in Santa Fe, where they have free seeds as well and are open on weekends too. Sorry you missed it. Hope this helps. Please join for updates so you won’t miss out.
