  1. Just found out about you guys and the potluck tonite. Would like to do a short 5-10 minute phone interview w/ you at 5:05 PM. Please call my producer, Jennifer, @ 955-9955 and let me know if there’s someone we could talk with. Looking forward to helping you all spread the good word about urban gardening.

Oh,l gosh, we didn’t know anything about the Kitchen Garden and Coop tour last Sunday. How can we be sure we know about future offerings?
We want to be “in the know” about other tours.

    Thank you,
Farmer Terry and Pam Rogers, ha ha

    • Pamela,
I am glad that you enjoyed the tour. We will have more garden tours. You can join the website email list to see weekly articles with information on events. It is in the top left corner of the website. We announced a Community Garden Tour on September 17 from 1pm-4pm. There will be more information posted on our website this week. Let me know if you have additional questions.

  4. We have just posted a wonderful video on how “homegrown” and even larger applications can help the world. Check it out at: http://www.bootheglobalperspectives.com It is on the front page, the second article. Ben Boothe

  5. Three of us are going to be in Albuquerque for a meeting and plan to come to Sante Fe on Friday and Saturday, Sept 30 and Ocotber 1. I notice that there is nothing planned on those days, but will it be possible for us to visit a couple of the gardens on our own? Also is there a food preservation center that we could visit? We are Family and Consumer Science faculty at Historically Black Land Grant universities in DE and MD and would love to see what you are doing.

  6. Come by/buy the Santa Fe Community Farm’s onsite
produce stand this Sunday, and EVERY Sunday, from 12 to 4 pm.

    1829 San Ysidro Crossing SF

    The Farm is
struggling to survive financially, so we are trying to become more
self-sustaining through the sale of some of our produce. Our prices are
below most of the supermarkets in town, for MUCH (fresher? more fresh?)
fruits and veggies. Most of what we have will be harvested SUNDAY MORNING
so you get great ‘right out of the ground/off the tree’ organic goodness.

This week we will have apricots (who doesn’t?), small peaches, beets,
carrots, purslane (verdulaga), lamb’s quarter, a little kale, sweet peas
(they are slowing down), and maybe even some Royal Anne cherries (I have
    to check the tree!)

As our season progresses, we will have more variety and quantity – let me
know if you want to be kept in the loop. If you know others who would
like to try us out, please let them know we exist.

oh, and we’re hosting an Aerated Compost Tea Workshop with Sam Knowlton,
chief soil expert and owner of Soil Symbiotics on July 28 from 1-5 pm.
Cost $35. Let me know if you’re interested!
